KATHMANDU, Sept 6: Police have arrested 12 individuals on the charge of transferring the ownership of a company belonging to another person by submitting fake documents and trying to sell moveable and non-moveable properties of it.
According to police, Jit Bahadur Magar of Sunapati rural municipality of Ramechhap district transferred the ownership of Shankar Electronic Industries of Niranjan Jatiya, Indian national, currently staying at Chundevi.
It is learnt that Magar, who had been staying in the Chundevi-based Jatiya’s house for the last 16 years, forged the documents of the company and transferred the ownership in his name through the Office of the Company Registrar.
Impersonating chairperson of the company, Magar had also initiated processes to sell land plots registered in the name of the company.

According to police, Magar was making preparations to sell a house built in the area of three ropanis of land based in Baluwatar, 15 ropanis of land located at Satungal-9, among others.
Magar had forged the documents with the assistance from 45-year-old Rajan Prasad Lamsal of Hetauda, currently staying at Chandragiri municipality-8, and Niraj Kumar Manandhar, 40, of Chandragiri municipality-14.
Office of the Company Registrar transferred the ownership of the company in the name of Magar without verifying the documents on July 13 and July 16.
The incident came to light after Jatiya made the issue public by organizing press meets.
Police have also taken some officials of the Office of the Company Registrar under control.
The group led by Jit Bahadur was trying to own the property worth Rs 700 million belonging to the company illegally.
