NYC has faced a historic weather event on Wednesday with record-breaking heavy rain across the city. The city had a brutal flooding and dangerous conditions in the Subway, roads and on the ground floor of many houses.
TAPLEJUNG, Sept 3: A laborer working at Sanima Hydropower project in Taplejung has died after he was buried by a large boulder at around 1.30 pm on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Khaga Prasad Tamang, 44, of Fattanglung Rural Municipality-1 of Taplejung.
POKHARA, Sept 1: Five persons died and one has gone missing after a landslide swept away their houses in Pokhara. The deceased have been identified as four men and a woman. According to Kaski Police, five others were injured.
TANAHUN, August 16: An army man was pronounced dead after he fell off the roof of his house last night in Byas Municipality-3 of Tanahun district. The deceased has been identified as the 36-year-old Laxman Thapa, according to the District Police Office, Tanahu.
KATHMANDU, August 5: The bodies of 24 Nepalis who died in Malaysia during employment were brought to Nepal a week ago. The bodies had been stranded in Malaysia for some time due to the limited regular flights following the COVID-19 pandemic. The Foreign Employment Board has stated that the bodies were brought after a wide body aircraft was sent for the purpose.
KATHMANDU, May 30: The mortality rate of COVID-19 patients undergoing treatment at the hospitals in Banke has decreased dramatically. Earlier, the hospitals recorded about 15-17 deaths on a daily basis which dropped to zero in the past 24 hours.
The body of an American national who died two years ago in the Everest region has been found on Saturday. According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Christopher John Kulis, who died during his descent from the summit of Mt Everest on May 27, 2019.

HUMLA, May 5: An eight-year-old girl was found dead in a suspicious condition at Simkot Rural Municipality-2 in Humla district on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Sanjiba Bohara. She was found dead in an animal shed that belongs to her own family. It is learnt that the deceased was playing with her friends before the incident.
