KATHMANDU, Nov 15: Nepal reported 1,477 new cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Sunday.
Of the 6,476 real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests conducted in 75 labs across the country in the past 24 hours, 912 males and 565 females were diagnosed with the disease, according to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

As many as 2,798 COVID-19 patients gained recovery in the past one day while six others succumbed to this disease taking the recovery tally to 173,430 and total number of fatalities due to this viral infection to 1,221.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley, where lies the country’s federal capital, confirmed 807 new COVID-19 cases. A total of 455 males and 352 females tested positive in three districts – Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur—in the past 24 hours. This has taken the total number of infections in the Valley to 96,658. Similarly, 459 people in the Valley died of COVID-19 as of Sunday afternoon.
