We expect justice: Deuba

KATHMANDU, May 27: President of Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba has claimed that the prime minister and the president have violated the constitution.

KATHMANDU, May 27: President of Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba has claimed that the prime minister and the president have violated the constitution. In a virtual meeting organized by Nepal Press Union, Deuba expressed his confidence in the Supreme Court to deliver justice. “The prime minister and the president have put the country into a crisis because of their unconstitutional interference,” he said. “We expect justice from the Supreme court,” Deuba added.

Deuba also stated his dilemma, unable to take to the streets with protest due to COVID-19, and asked the media to talk about the topic. “The media will face trouble if there is no democracy left,” he said. “The role of the media is very important in such a situation and we must all take steps to support democracy,” he added.
