KATHMANDU, Dec 5: Newly-elected chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), Rajendra Lingden has said that they cannot afford to make the party as dull and inactive as it has been in the past. Addressing a meeting after being elected as the party’s new chairman, Lingden claimed that he will lead the party in a different way during his leadership.
Expressing his commitment not to let the party members down, he said that he will not give anyone the opportunity to compare his leadership with his predecessors. He also said that it was unnecessary to celebrate the win in the streets, to be honored with garlands and ‘khatas’, and to shout slogans as this is just an internal election of the party under its Unity General Convention.
