According to the police, Mian visited Kushwaha's house on Friday morning to complain about damage to his house during road expansion. Witnesses claimed that after Mian argued with Kushwaha, questioning why only his house was damaged, Kushwaha and seven supporters tied Mian to a tree and beat him up indiscriminately.
The ward chairman's side, however, said that Mian was abusive, prompting neighbors to restrain him, tie him to a tree, and later hand him over to the police.
Mian, after being beaten, filed a complaint with the local police office, accusing eight individuals, including Kushwaha, of assault.
Following Mian's complaint, Police Inspector Mohan Bikram KC took both parties to the Pokhariya Police Office for further investigation.
In discussions, Mian expressed intent to pursue legal action against the accused, leading the police to transfer them, including ward chairman Kushwaha, to the District Police Office, Parsa on Friday afternoon.
