KATHMANDU, Dec 17: The counting of votes for five Joint General Secretaries is being held on Friday.


According to the NC Central Election Committee, the counting of votes for the joint general secretaries under Madhesi, Khas Arya, Tharu, Muslim and backward region clusters is taking place today.

Earlier, Nepali Congress (NC) leaders Mahalaxmi Upadhyay ‘Dina’, Jivan Pariyar and Bhishmaraj Angdambe were elected Nepali Congress (NC) joint general secretaries under Women, Dalit and Indigenous clusters, respectively.


A total of 19 candidates under various clusters contested for eight posts of Joint General Secretary under the 14th General Convention of the Nepali Congress.
