Vietnamese citizen arrested for kidnapping 4-year-old boy from Patan

Police have also seized a knife, bus tickets, a fake Indian adhaar card, Vietnamese currency, three mobile phones, and a laptop from the arrested individual.

KATHMANDU, Feb 9: Police have arrested a person on charges of kidnapping a four-year-old boy from Patan, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-12. The arrested person has been identified as Vietnamese citizen Mai Hang Kinhalan.


The four-year-old boy, residing in Patan was abducted on February 6. Subsequently, his mother filed a police report, stating that her son had been kidnapped.

According to police, the boy was kidnapped and held hostage at the Ilam Mechi Guest House in Kalanki, when he was rescued by a team of officials from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office.


Police have also seized a knife, bus tickets, a fake Indian adhaar card, Vietnamese currency, three mobile phones, and a laptop from the arrested individual.
