KATHMANDU, Jan 9: District Police Office, Parsa has arrested four children on charge of kidnapping and holding their classmate hostage. The identities of those arrested have not been released as they are minors.
According to the office's DSP Deepak Giri, the incident took place at 5:30 am on Saturday. A 16-year-old boy living in Birgunj Metropolitan City-16, Inaruwa, was washing his hands and face in the sink in his yard.
No limitation to beauty
DSP Giri said that four friends studying with him covered him with a blanket. It has been found that the child was taken under control and taken 300 meters away from the house with a cloth placed in his mouth so that he could not cry and speak. He was taken to a deserted empty square and they had put a muffler, gloves and handkerchief in their mouths. The minors had even tied his hands and feet with a black cable wire, according to DSP Giri.
A police team was deployed after the family reported that their son was missing. The team rescued the kidnapped child. Four accused children have also been detained. The victim and the arrested accused are class 10 students.
According to DSP Giri, the abducted child always stood first in the class. It was found that he was kidnapped due to anger, hatred and envy of his friends.
The court has allowed the kidnapper children to be detained for six days for investigation. They are going to be investigated by keeping them in the women and children cell.
