The secretaries have been taken out to street saying the Ministry of Local Development has cut the remuneration and facilities received through District Development Committee (DDC). [break]
According to the VDC secretaries, they were taken out to street after the ministry managed additional grant of Rs. 100,000 to every VDCs from which the secretaries have to receive their salary and other facilities.
The VDC secretaries have been staging Dharna at the DDC and announced to continue the protest until August 18.
It is informed that they if the government remained deaf on their demand they had the further protest program to handover the VDC stamps at the ministry on August 19.
They have been staging the dharna putting four-point demands including the implementation of past agreements, cancelation of the recent provision made by the ministry.
