Scooter-hit kills pedestrian in Nawalparasi

The victim, 50-year-old local resident Lakhan Tamang, was seriously injured after being struck by a scooter bearing registration number Province 3–02–014 P 1443. He was taken to College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Bharatpur for treatment, where he died on Sunday morning, police said.

NAWALPARASI, Feb 15: A pedestrian died after being hit by a scooter at Sangam Marg in Gaindakot Municipality–8 on Saturday night.



The victim, 50-year-old local resident Lakhan Tamang, was seriously injured after being struck by a scooter bearing registration number Province 3–02–014 P 1443. He was taken to College of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital in Bharatpur for treatment, where he died on Sunday morning, police said.

According to Anil Pandit, information officer and deputy superintendent of police at the District Police Office Nawalparasi (Bardaghat–Susta East), the scooter rider, 26-year-old Prabin Thapa Magar of Gaindakot–8, Karanghari, has been taken into police custody for further investigation.
