KATHMANDU, June 7: The Kathmandu District Committee of CPN-UML has commenced preparations for its seventh convention. Former Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli will inaugurate the convention, scheduled to be held at Bhrikutimandap from June 8 to June 10.
UML to hold district convention on January 7
UML Kathmandu Chairman Deepak Niraula stated that over 585 representatives, along with thousands of party leaders and cadres from all ten constituencies of the Kathmandu district, will participate.
Addressing a press conference on Thursday, Chairman Niraula announced that an 11-member presiding committee, led by UML Politburo member and Kathmandu district in-charge Anand Pokharel, has been selected for the closing session on June 9, following the opening session.
