KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Chairman of CPN-UML and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has accused the coalition government of making significant efforts to close the file related to Lalita Niwas land-grab scam.

Addressing the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) on Tuesday, Chairman Oli expressed concern over the government's apparent eagerness to put an end to the Lalita Niwas land grab case. He said, “The government seems determined to silence any attempts to bring this issue to light. It is evident that they are struggling to conceal the truth and protect those involved. Just like one would use a cloth to wipe away sweat, the government seems to be using various means to cover up the details of this case, rather than addressing it transparently.”

Chairman Oli also criticized the government's actions by comparing them with the government’s efforts to handle other cases such as the gold scandal. He pointed out that while a three-member high-level investigation commission was established to look into the gold scandal, a four-member commission appears to have been formed for the purpose of protecting individuals associated with this case.

Chairman Oli raised concerns over the transparency and fairness of the government's actions in connection with the Lalita Niwas land-grab scam.
