KATHMANDU, April 13: The CPN-UML and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal led by Kamal Thapa have agreed to forge an electoral alliance in the upcoming local level election.
A five-point agreement to this effect was signed by the UML’s Local Development Department Chief Debendra Dahal and RPP-Nepal’s Local Level Mobilization Department Chief Sushil Kumar Shrestha on Wednesday.
Local level poll candidates receive election symbols

The agreement was signed in the presence of UML’s Senior Vice President Ishwar Pokharel and RPP-Nepal’s Chairman Kamal Thapa.As per the agreement, UML and RPP-Nepal will forge an electoral alliance wherever possible and RPP-Nepal candidates will also contest the election with UML’s election symbol - Sun.
