KATHMANDU, Nov 2: UCPN (Maoist) has said that November 19 Constituent Assembly (CA) election would be held in the slated date at any cost despite anti-poll activities in some parts of the country.

At a regular news conference at party headquarters in Paris Danda Saturday, UCPN (Maoist) spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota said that there was no environment of poll mishap though some incidents like torching vehicles of candidates in some areas and disruption of vehicles have occurred due to lack of security.[break]

Sapkota said that the government should take effective steps for the control of such incidents and expressed confidence that anti-poll activities would be controlled if support of political parties and stakeholder bodies was received.

The UCPN (Maoist) spokesperson also urged the CPN-Maoist to present itself politically and warned that people would retaliate if the leaders of the CPN-Maoist continue their nonpolitical characters.
