Chief District Officer, Krishna Bahadur Raut said, " The police fired into air in self-defense after locals hurled stones and bricks at the police post."
A dozen police personnel and four locals were also injured in the incident, Raut told Republica Online. Injured locals are Gayatri Acharaya, Gangakumari Shrestha, Kamala Shrestha and Lilu Bika.
