Two killed, four missing in Rolpa landslide

ROLPA, Sept 13: Two persons died while four others went missing after a rain-triggered landslide buried a house at Cherlabang village in Thawang rural municipality on Thursday night.

According to District Police Chief Chitra Bahadur Gurung, the deceased were identified as Sheer Kumari Jhakri Budha, 28, and her son Asal Budha, 4. The dead bodies were recovered during the search operation, according to Gurung.

Jaya Bahadur Budha's family members went missing in the same incident.

Separate police teams deployed from Mirul, Kureli, and Thawang have been mobilized to clear the landslide debris.
