ROLPA, Sept 12: Two children of a family died after they were buried by a landslide at Lungri Rural Municipality-1, Aipe in Rolpa district at midnight on Saturday.
The deceased have been identified as Yubraj Gharit, 11, and his brother Amar Gharti, 8.

The brothers duo were crushed to death by the large boulders brought down by the landslide above their house while they were sleeping. The grandparents and mother of the deceased, however, were not harmed in the incident.
Chief of Rolpa Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Nabaraj Subedi said that a squad of police personnel led by Inspector Sahadev Dangi had been deployed to the site to take stock of the loss caused by the Friday mishap.
