Four killed in jeep accident in Rolpa

ROLPA, Nov 14:  Four passengers were killed and two others were injured in a jeep accident at West Rolpa on Sunday morning.

ROLPA, Nov 14:  Four passengers were killed and two others were injured in a jeep accident at West Rolpa on Sunday morning.


According to the District Police Office, Rolpa, the ill-fated jeep fell some 300 meters off the road near Ghartigaun at around 11 AM. The jeep (Ra 1 Ja 382) heading towards Ghartigaun from Hanning of Madi Rural Municipality-6 met with an accident.

According to Naresh Raj Subedi, Chief of Police in Rolpa, the deceased have been identified as Tek Bahadur Pun, 73, jeep driver, Rudra Gharti, 51, and Chausara B.K, 47. Similarly, a critically injured 18-year old Lila Pun breathed her last while undergoing treatment at a local hospital.


Police said two other critically injured in the accident --Bina Gharti magar and Panchna B. Kare-- are currently undergoing treatment at the local health facility. Further investigation into the incident is currently underway.
