KATHMANDU, October 16: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Sunday declined 5.15 points to close at 2,540.57 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,544.91 points and remained stable for almost the first half an hour. The market went through a series of fluctuations and reached the day’s low at 2,533.39 points in the last six minutes. The market recovered around seven points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Three groups—others, hotels and tourism, and manufacturing and processing—had their market values increased by 16.73 points, 11.97 points and 2.15 points, respectively. Of the 10 losers, non-life insurance shed the largest of 52.11 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 1.44 points. The daily turnover however slightly increased to Rs 3.89 billion from Rs 3.49 billion.
Among the individual companies, 74 were gainers while 168 were recorded as losers. SBL Debenture 2089 had the largest turnover of Rs 289.07 million.
Bhugol Energy Development Company Limited witnessed the highest fall of 10 percent of its market price. Three companies including Sagar Distillery Limited, Bungal Hydro Limited and Bandipur Cablecar and Tourism Limited, gained the highest of 9.99 percent.
