KATHMANDU, July 19: Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) on Wednesday rose 11.17 points to close at 2,165.24 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,154.07 points and fell to the day’s low at 2,142.15 points in the first 20 minutes of trading. But the index in the next moment went in an upward graph and reached the day’s high at 2,174.49 points in the midway of the trading hours, before it slid to lose around nine points to close for the day.

Stockbrokers said the market index is in positive move due to the falling interest rates on loans.
Along with an increase in the market index, the sensitive index that measures the performance of blue chip companies also gained 3.32 points. The daily turnover declined to Rs 3.348 billion from Rs 3.548 billion on Tuesday.
Five out of 13 trading groups added in their market values. Trading index got an additional 128.77 points and posted the largest gainer. Of eight losers, life insurance shed the highest of 48.75 points.
Among individual companies, United Ajod Insurance Limited had the largest transaction of its shares worth Rs 235.74 million. BPW Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited gained the highest of 10 percent of its market price, while NIBL Samriddhi Fund-2 was recorded the topmost loser.
