It can give an insight into your personal hygiene and can have a major impact in others forming an opinion about you. In such a situation, yellow teeth and bad breath can be very embarrassing. Most of us scrub and floss our teeth twice daily, but it is not enough to maintain good oral health. But there are a few food items you can add in your diet for shiny teeth and strong gums.


Red bell pepper


Vitamin C present in red bell pepper helps in the production of collagen- a structural protein necessary for gum health and it keeps the gums tight around the teeth. Studies show that low intake of vitamin C often leads to gum related problems like bad breath.

Dairy products like yogurt, milk, cheese are excellent sources of calcium, phosphorus, and casein protein. It is necessary for strong tooth enamel and to keep the teeth strong.

Oranges and pineapple


Eating citric fruit such as oranges and pineapple are also good for your oral health. These sour fruits have cleaning properties and can naturally wash away plaque from your mouth.

Apple cleanses your mouth and washes away the food particles stuck between your teeth. It also helps to strengthen your gums.


Baking soda


The white powder commonly found in every household can also help to make your teeth shiny. Make it a routine to scrub your teeth with baking soda every day in the morning. Baking soda is a bleaching agent and helps to remove plaques and surface stains.


Broccoli


High in fiber and packed with various nutrients, broccoli helps to reduce inflammation. Eating broccoli can polish your teeth and prevents germination of bacteria in your mouth.
