According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Lukla and Faplu offices, as many as 930 tourists from Lukla and more than 70 from Faplu could not be able to go to Kathmandu due to adverse weather.[break]
Office of the Civil Aviation Authority, Lukla, informed that some private airlines companies including Fishtail, Dynasty, Mountain and Simrik have rescued stranded tourists from Tenzing Hillary Airport, Lukla, and Surke.
Chief of the Office, Utsav Kharel said rain and snowfall at Lukla from this morning have made problems to helicopters that have been deployed for rescue of tourists.
Local Surya Thulung said normal life in Lukla is being chaotic day by day and price of goods have also increased following the disruption of air services.
Some of the tourists have gone to Jiri of Dolakha from Lukla today on foot after seeing no improvement in the weather, informed trekking entrepreneur Lapsang Sherpa.
Similarly, tourists, who have been stranded at Faplu following bad weather, have now been waiting for helicopter.
Proprietor of Tip and Top Trekking, Nima Sherpa said although a helicopter has been called in, no helicopter could make flights following the unfavorable weather.
