TIA closed after runway develops cracks

KATHMANDU, Aug 27: The Tribhuvan International Airport was closed Thursday morning after the runway developed cracks, according to Bishwo Prajapati, public relations officer at the airport.



“All flights that were supposed to land have been diverted, while aircrafts that were supposed to take off have been delayed,” Prajapati said. “The airport will remain closed for at least two hours,” he told myrepublica.com at 12:45 p.m.
