KATHMANDU, May 16: Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) has been shut down for an hour after the runway developed some potholes on the runway on Wednesday
According to Premnath Thakur, spokesperson at the TIA, the TIA was closed from 4:10 pm to 5 pm for domestic and international flights.
Flight landings resume at TIA after runway repair
“We closed the TIA for an hour after the blacktop came off at one side of the runway, " Thakur told Republica Online, adding, “We resumed TIA after renovating the potholes.”
According to him, out-bound Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines had to delay their schedule due to the same reason. Similarly, Kathmandu-bound international flights remained hovering in the sky for some time.
