Three fugitives arrested

SANKHUWASABHA, Sept 23: Police have arrested three inmates here who escaped from different prisons during the recent Gen-Z protests that took place on September 8 and 9. Those three fugitives were serving sentences in Nakkhu and Jhumka jails. 



The police arrested Narayan Rai, 41, of Chainpur Municipality-10, at his home. He was in Nakkhu jail for robbery, according to Nepal Police Inspector Ram Kumar Lamichhane.

Likewise, Subhash Tamang, 31, of Chainpur Municipality-9 and Gombu Sherpa, 57, of Chichila Rural Municipality-2 in the district, were also arrested. Tamang and Sherpa were jailed in Jhumka on separate rape cases. 


Jailer Rajan Ghimire said that all three arrested fugitives will be handed over to the Jhumka Jail administration on Wednesday.
