Two fugitives arrested in banking fraud case

The police have arrested two fugitives from Kathmandu in a banking fraud case.

KATHMANDU, Feb 24: The police have arrested two fugitives from Kathmandu in a banking fraud case.


Police have arrested 21-year-old Ujjwal Rauniyar, a resident of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-25, currently living in Ganabahal Pipalbot, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-22, and 40-year-old Sanjeeb Kumar Bal, a resident of Bhimphedi Rural Municipality-2, Makwanpur, currently residing in Sukedhara, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-4.

The police, deployed by the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office in Teku, arrested Ujjwal from Babarmahal, Kathmandu, on Friday after the District Court of Parsa issued an arrest warrant in connection with the case.


The police apprehended Sanjeeb, who had been absconding after the District Court of Banke issued an arrest warrant in the case, from Sukedhara, Kathmandu, on Saturday.


The police have sent Ujjwal to the District Police Office, Parsa for further investigation, and Sanjiv to the District Police Office, Banke.
