Three die in Rupandehi accident

KAPILVASTU, Sept 22: Three people died in Devdaha of Rupandehi district along the East-West Highway after the bus (Lu 2 Kha 5915), heading to Kathmandu from Nepalgunj, overturned on Tuesday morning because of excessive number of passengers. Four passengers were injured in the accident.



Police said Som Maya Lama of 34 years, her daughter Sushma Lama, 8, of Bimada, Lamjung and bus helper Sushil Shahi were killed in the mishap. Kallu Chaudhary of Nepalgunj was critically injured.



All injured are undergoing treatment in Lumbini Zonal Hospital, Butwal. Police have taken the driver under control for the investigation.
