RUPANDEHI, Jan 30: Four members of the same family from the Indian state of Bihar died of suffocation inside a house in Rupandehi in the wee hours of Thursday.
The bodies of 30-year-old Sahajad Hussain, his wife 28-year-old Saddab Khatun and their six-year-old son Sultan Raja and two-year-old daughter Sahina Khatun were found dead beneath a pile of gunny sacks inside the house when they were in deep sleep at a rented room at Gallamandi Pipariya of Siddharthanagar municipality.

Police Inspector at the District Police Office Keshav Gyawali said that the stack of gunny sacks they had collected collapsed and crushed them in the midnight. Late Sahajad, a rag picker, had been living in the area for 15 years.
According to Gyawali, the bodies have been kept at Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa for post-mortem.
