KATHMANDU, Oct 16: Police have arrested three people in connection with a murder of a man in Kathmandu. The victim, identified as Hom Bahadur Fauja Magar, 43, was beaten to death on Tuesday at 3:20 PM near Light Academy School in Nayabasti, Gokarneshwor Municipality-6.
According to Nabraj Adikari, spokesperson for the District Police Range Kathmandu, Magar, originally from Lekbeshi Rural Municipality-2, Surkhet, and temporarily residing in Kageshwori Manohara Rural Municipality-9, sustained severe injuries and lost consciousness.
Two arrested on charge of beating a man to death
As soon as the police received information that Magar had become unconscious in Nayabasti, the police deployed from the Police Circle Bauddha immediately rushed Magar to Shankarapur Hospital, Narayantar. Unfortunately, doctors declared him dead during treatment at 3:30 PM.
Police deployed from Police Range Kathmandu and Police Circle Bauddha arrested three suspects allegedly involved in murdering Magar at around 8:50 PM on Tuesday. The arrested suspects have been identified as Amrit Magar, 38, hailing from Panchthar and temporarily residing in Kapan; Bhuwan Shrestha, 35, from Sindupalchowk; Bimala Bhattarai, 27, originally hailing from Illam and temporary living in Nayabasti.
Adikari said that police Circle Bauddha is conducting an investigation into the murder.
