KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Sushil Limbu, a 20-year-old worker of the Damakhola Suspension Bridge Construction Consumer Committee, suffered an electric shock while attempting to catch fish using an electric wire near Damakhola in Namuna Basti, Buddha Shanti Rural Municipality-1, Jhapa.
According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, he was electrocuted on the night of February 22 at about 10 pm.

Originally from Haldibari Rural Municipality-3, Jhapa, Limbu sustained severe injuries in the accident. Rescuers rushed him to BNC Hospital in Birtamod for treatment. However, he succumbed to his injuries at around 10:50 pm. Authorities are conducting further investigations into the incident.
