KATHMANDU, Jan 14: The meeting of the joint task force of CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) has discussed the potential status of both parties in the National Assembly.
The meeting of the task force held at the Singha Durbar focused on the vote status of both parties for the National Assembly, said CPN (MC) leader and the member of the team Barsha Man Pun.
“We will further discussed on this issue in the next meeting of the task force on Wednesday, January 17”, informed Pun adding that the meeting will pave out the further way.

Likewise, the meeting has also discussed on the Issue of formation of the provincial government and assembly. According to leader Pun, both parties have discussed on the provision of allocating the prominent posts on consensus in the province. The meeting has accepted to allocate posts of the province, Chief Minister and Province Speaker, to either party. If UML would claim for the post of Chief Minister then CPN (MC) would get the post of Speaker.
Similarly, the task force discussed the similar policy for the post of Speaker and the Deputy-Speaker.
The left alliance has won the majority in six provinces except Province 2. The election of National Assembly is scheduled for February 7.
