There was a candy shop.
Sour, sweet, you name it all.
A heaven for me
When I was little.
Sour candies were the infamous ones
Tricked into eating one.
I remember its wrapper,
KMC to crack down on substandard 'cotton candy' sales
Greenish with orange sprinkles.
Sour turned into bitter,
Bitter into sweet.
Wasn’t that patience to wait,
Threw it in the first bite.
Flip side of the story.
Sour are the moments,
Bitter are the days,
Sweet now remains nostalgic.
Can’t even throw it away,
Holding on to its twinkling wrappers.
How foolish of me to think,
I could gulp it all down.
Crazy how a candy was,
Preparing me for the future.
Take me back to the candy shop,
Will trade back the sour with the sweet ones.
