South Africa topped Group 2 in the Super Eight stage and will aim to maintain their unbeaten record when they face Afghanistan at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy on Wednesday, June 26. Afghanistan's hard-fought victory over Bangladesh in St Vincent, where they scored 115/5 and bowled out Bangladesh for 105 in a rain-affected game, winning by 8 runs (DLS method), ensured their advancement.
The second semi-final in Guyana on Thursday, June 27, will see unbeaten India taking on the reigning T20 World Cup champions, England. India secured their semi-final spot with an impressive victory over Australia and will be looking to avenge their previous 10-wicket loss to England at the Adelaide Oval in the most recent T20 World Cup.
