Today's match is considered decisive for both teams. The team that wins today's game will qualify for the U-19 Women's T20 World Cup.
In the qualifiers, the host team, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), is the only team that has not faced defeat. With 10 points from five matches, UAE is ahead of Nepal not only in points but also in net run rate.
After losing to the UAE by 13 runs in the fourth match, Nepal fell behind in the qualifiers. The UAE strengthened their chances of qualification by defeating Thailand by nine wickets in the fifth match.
The final match between the UAE and Nepal today will determine which team will advance to the World Cup in Malaysia next year. Nepal will need to score 140 runs while batting first and defeat the UAE by 21 runs. However, if the UAE bats first and sets a total of 140, Nepal will need to chase that target in 16.1 overs.
