The campus had announced that the BBA classes would start from te second week of September. After the admission announcement, three hundred students had applied out of which 60 students were selected for the course. However, there are no signs of the course startig any time soon.

According to the sources, the BBA class in the Mahendra Moran Campus was delayed as some private sector colleges are making joint effort to make the BBA program at government campus a failure so that they would receive affiliation for BBA from TU.

“As per the calendar, BBA classes should have started by the second week of September, however, there are still no signs that the classes would start even near future,” one of the lecturers of the Mahendra Morang Campus said.

BBA is one of the most popular subject among the students of the management faculty as the graduates are more likely to find job after completion of the study. The total tuition fee for the 4 year- BBA course at the Mahendara Morang Campus is Rs 260,000.

“The students are really in despair after their course could not start on time and still there is no any certainty. Many of our colleagues themselves do not want to start the BBA course,” said the lecturer on the condition of anonymity.

The coordinator of the BBA course of the campus Prof Dr Durgananda Choudhari had resigned from his post citing lack of cooperation from his other colleagues. However, Choudhari later retract the resignation after the faculty members assured him of cooperation in running the classing soon. “It is said that classes would start from Sunday, but it is unlikely,” said the source.

Private colleges in Biratnagar have been providing the BBA course from affiliation of Indian or foreign business schools and the Purbanchal University (PU) is providing BBA in marketing. “PU has already approved its constituent colleges in Biratnagar to run BBA classes and some private colleges are in the fray to receive BBA affiliation from TU," another lecturer said.

According to students, private colleges are planning to attract student toward them for the BBA course, if the program in Mahedra Morang Campus fails.
