SYANGJA, July 12: The construction of a cricket stadium was initiated at Aruchaur village in Arjun Chaupari Rural Municipality-5, Syangja district, in honor of former Captain of Nepal's National Cricket Team Sandeep Lamichhane.
The Arjun Chaupari Rural Municipality is investing for the construction of the stadium at Thaple area.

Cricketer Lamichhane was at Aruchaur in Arjun Chaupari Rural Municipality-5.
Chairman of Rural Municipality Prakash Tiwari said that investment is made from the local government and the local residents have extended their in-kind support to build a cricket stadium at a public space on the top of the hill from the current fiscal year 2024/25.
"Currently, we are working to clear the ground and make it plain. We will complete the stadium soon by expediting the job immediately after the end of the rainy season," rural municipality chairman Tiwari added.
The construction site is at the height of 1907 meters from the sea level and the stadium is named as 'Nineteen O Seven Arena'.
