Sitaula and Upadhyay awarded 'Nai Aantarastriya Puraskar'

Nai Prakashan has decided to dedicate the 2022  year’s  'Nai Aantarastriya Puraskar' to Professor Mohan Sitaula, who has made significant contributions to the international expansion of the Nepali language and growth of Nepali literature by his constant awareness and dedication through creation and organization.

Nai Prakashan has decided to dedicate the 2022  year’s  'Nai Aantarastriya Puraskar' to Professor Mohan Sitaula, who has made significant contributions to the international expansion of the Nepali language and growth of Nepali literature by his constant awareness and dedication through creation and organization.

The award, along with a copper plate, carries a purse of Rs 200,000. Similarly, Nai Prakashan has decided to dedicate the 'Nai Ganesh Durga Aantarastriya Puraskar' to Chhabi Lal Upadhyaya of Assam, India, who has made significant contribution for the advancement of the Nepali language and literature through the creation of critiques, poems, essays, plays, translations, etc.


These awards are awarded annually to one of the distinguished international personalities of Nepali Gurkha origin. The decision was taken by Indira Prasai, chairperson of Nai Prakashan at a meeting.
