KATHMANDU, Nov 29: The private viewing of Nepal’s first animated movie ‘ShankhadharYaa Baakha’ (The Legend of Shankhadhar) was held on Saturday at Microsoft Innovation Center Nepal, Khichapokhari, Kathmandu.
The event started with a video message by Dr Satya Mohan Joshi and was attended by noted culture experts like Ganesh Ram Lachhi. The audience included cast and crew of the movie alongside representative of various major Nepali media.
Following the screening, most of the audience highlighted several aspects of the movie. They also unanimously expressed a common feeling of pride in the release of Nepal’s first animated movie.
Public screening of the movie in both Nepali and Newari languages will be held on December 17, 24 and 31 at Microsoft Innovation Center Nepal. The movie is also slated for international grand premiere on Sunday, December 11 in the U.K. and the USA.
