SURKHET, Feb 9: The Nepali Congress has elected Jeevan Bahadur Shahi as the leader of the Nepali Congress Parliamentary Party in the Province Assembly of Province No 6.
Shahi represents Humla district constituency 'Kha' in the Province Assembly. He is the single person from the Nepali Congress who won the election to the member of the Province Assembly from Humla 'Kha' constituency under the first-past-the-post election system.
A meeting of the NC Parliamentary Party today unanimously elected Shahi as the party's parliamentary party leader in Province-6, lawmaker from Jumla, Dinabandhu Shrestha said.
According to him, the meeting of the NC Parliamentary Party which will convene shortly will decide on picking up the remaining office-bearers of the NC Province-6 parliamentary party.
The Nepali Congress has six members on the Province Assembly in Province-6. RSS
