MORANG, Feb 20 : Rajib Koirala has been unanimously elected Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader of Province 1. A meeting of the province NC parliamentary party held on Monday in Biratnagar took a decision to this effect.

The province members Kedar Karki and Shekhar Chandra Thapa withdrew their candidacy for the post at the eleventh hour, leading to the election of Koirala, said the Sunsari NC leader.
Koirala was elected State Assembly member from Sunsari constituency 2 (Kha) in the recently held elections to the State Assemblies. He is also Sunsari NC President. RSS
