KATHMANDU, Nov 30: Protest has soared in the different districts of the Province 5 after the government filed the constitution amendment bill so as to take out all the hill districts from the province.
KATHMANDU, Nov 30: Nepal Magar Association Central Committee and Joint Magar Manch – Nepal have demanded formation of an autonomous province by integrating the Magar land in Province no 4 and 5 when the government undertakes constitution's amendment to resolve the dispute dogging the provincial boundaries.

BUTWAL, Nov 24: Miffed by the ruling parties' plan to split some districts away from province no. 5, senior leaders of major parties including the ruling Nepali Congress have threatened to protest the move, saying it would invite serious consequences. They said deciding the federal borders of the province at the top level without consulting the locals would go against the spirit of the people.

KATHMANDU, July 11: A cabinet meeting held on Sunday decided to give consent to the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers to formulate a bill for fixing salaries, perks and other facilities for governors of the 7 provinces to be formed in line with the new constitution, according to Minister of Sanitation and Drinking Water Prem Bahadur Singh.
