KATHMANDU, May 29: The ongoing search and rescue operation for
an aircraft that went missing since Sunday morning shortly after it took off from Pokhara airport for Jomsom has been has been suspended for today.

According to Nepal Army (NA), all efforts of search and rescue for today has been halted due to loss of daylight and adverse weather. "The search will be resumed early in the morning tomorrow [Monday] both from air and ground. Our search and rescue team with helicopter is on standby at Jomsom," said NA Spokesperson Brigadier General Narayan Silwal.
The Tara Air aircraft that left Pokhara Airport this morning carrying 19 passengers and three crew members has gone out of contact since this morning. According to the airlines company, the passengers include 13 Nepali, four Indian and two German nationals.
