KATHMANDU, Feb 2: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has announced its plans to pile up pressure on the government and stakeholders to ensure regular supply of water in the Kathmandu Valley from the Melamchi Water Supply Project. A parliamentary party meeting of the RSP held on Friday decided to conduct such a programme on February 4.

Nisha Dangi, the RSP parliamentary party whip, said that all 21 MPs of the RSP will meet at Melamchi bazaar and then visit the project site by carrying empty water vessels to fetch water.

The RSP has been carrying out its leaders' trek to exert pressure on the stakeholders for timely completion of stranded infrastructure projects.

As part of the same journey, the RSP is launching its two-month long program beginning February 4. And such programs would be carried out in 21 infrastructure projects with poor performance.

RSP lawmaker Binita Kathayat said the party would carry out such activities without affecting the parliament and parliamentary committee meetings.
