KATHMANDU, Aug 15: The U.S. government has deported Mohan Bahadur Thapa, a close associate of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane and a former central committee member of the party.

Thapa was deported after his green card was revoked. Originally from Myagdi, he returned to Kathmandu on August 7. Upon his arrival at Tribhuwan Airport, the immigration officials at the airport handed him over directly to the Anti-Human Trafficking Investigation Bureau.
