KATHMANDU, Sept 28: A total of 272 disaster-related incidents were reported across the country in the past 24 hours, leaving 21 people dead, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA).
As per the Daily Disaster Bulletin released by the NDRRMA on Monday, four people have been reported missing and 26 others were injured in those disasters.
NDRRMA spokesperson Shanti Mahat informed that landslides accounted for the highest number of incidents, with 97 reported cases.

Mahat added that all 21 people reported dead were killed in landslides.
Likewise, the NDRRMA recorded 80 incidents of incessant rainfall, 57 floods, 17 snakebite cases, eight fire incidents, eight windstorms, four animal attacks and one snowfall-related incident across various districts of the country during this period.
Although no casualties were reported in the floods, 415 people were rescued, NDRRMA stated.
Likewise, another 700 people were rescued from areas affected by incessant rainfall, the government agency responsible for disaster risk reduction, preparedness, management and response across the country said.
Meanwhile, the disasters disrupted 48 road sections and resulted in the loss of 121 livestock across the country in the last 24 hours.
The disasters incurred economic loss worth over Rs 19.16 million, as per the estimates of the NDRRMA.
In the meantime, security personnel and other relevant agencies continue to carry out search and rescue operations across the affected areas.
