KATHMANDU, March 9: The Embassy of Japan is going to extend a grant assistance of about Rs 6.56 million to implement a community health project in the remote Dobra village of Bajhang district in the far-western region, according to a statement issued by the Embassy on Monday.
"Approximately 5,000 people currently unable to reach the hospital or health center due to the remoteness of the area are expected to be benefited from the project," said the statement, adding that Dobra village doesn´t have any health service facility so far.

A contract to this effect was signed and exchanged in Kathmandu Monday between Japanese Ambassador Tatsuo Mizuno and Bhim Bahadur Thapa, a member of the Chhabis Rural Sensitive Center (CRSC), which is going to implement the project constructing the Dobra Community Health Center.
According to the statement, the grant is to be utilized for the construction of four buildings equipped with a mini operation room, radiology room, medical store, doctor’s room and other facilities. The grant is also intended for the procurement of medical equipment, furniture and other commodities required for the operation of the center.
