Rs 280 million deposited in PM's disaster relief fund

KATHMANDU, Jan 4: Rs 280 million has been collected in the Prime Minister's disaster relief fund dedicated to Jajarkot earthquake victims.

KATHMANDU, Jan 4: Rs 280 million has been collected in the Prime Minister's disaster relief fund dedicated to Jajarkot earthquake victims.


Spokesperson at Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Narayan Prasad Bhatta, informed the Fund had collected over Rs 279.89 million so far. It was possible with the generosity of over 117 depositors- individuals and associations combined.

A 6.4 magnitude earthquake had occurred two months back- on November 3- with its epicenter at Barekot, Jajarkot. The disaster claimed the lives of over 150 people.


Similarly, more than 67,000 households have been affected by the quake.
