KATHMANDU, Oct 2: The Karnali Province government has decided to contribute Rs 5 million to the Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund.


A meeting of the Office of the Chief Minister and Councils of Minister held on Tuesday decided to provide the funds to support citizens affected by the recent rain-induced disasters in the Kathmandu Valley and other parts of the country.

Sharing the decision made by the provincial government, Spokesperson and Minister for Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives, Binod Kumar Shah, also expressed condolences to the families of those who lost their lives due to monsoon-induced disasters and extended heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved families, wishing for the speedy recovery of the injured.


Additionally, the Cabinet meeting also decided to make a recommendation of ending the current session of the Karnali Provincial Assembly effective from midnight of October 1 to Karnali Province Chief Yagya Raj Joshi.
