KATHMANDU, Jan 24: Over Rs 280 million has been collected in the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund (PMDRF) for the support of the quake survivors in Karnali Province.
An earthquake of 6.4 magnitude had jolted Jajarkot and its surrounding districts on November 3, 2023 leaving scores of casualties and fatalities.
Rs 280 million deposited in PM's disaster relief fund
As per the latest details unveiled by the Fund, it has collected over Rs 280 million from various social organizations and individuals who had pledged support for the post-quake rescue, search and rehabilitation, and relief distribution operation for the survivors of the quake.
The government had urged individuals and agencies to contribute to the cause through a one-door system. Agencies and individuals can deposit relief in the Fund’s account numbers in nine commercial banks.
